Discover Chocolate in the Dominican Republic

Posted in: Travels & Adventures

Hello Clay,

I represent IMSA Peru. We are just finishing the mini chocolate factory at the Womens' Coop in Hato Mayor - I hope you are going to see that? If I can help with anything, please let me know.

Best regards, Bent

Source of single origin beans

David - if you can import good quantities, we can help. We are Coffee growers/exporters in the Dominican Republic with good contacts to D.R. sources, Peru, Ecuador, other Central America. We are brokers but you probably need that anyway. I should mention that although we are primarily in Coffee and Coffee/Cocoa machinery, we will deal in Cocoa if the quantities are big enough and we have the contacts.Bent

Can anybody put me in contact with cocoa producers/exporters from SAO TOME & PRINCIPE. We produce cocoa process machinery and believe improved processing isneeded in Sao Tome, hence the interest in contacting producers/exporters there.

Thanks in advance!

Source of Small Scale Cacao Processing Equipments

Hi all, Peru produces excellent cocoa machinery. Mainly large scale from drying process on, however, we have just developed a Cocoa Lab equipment consisting of sample dryer, size sorter, sample roaster (100-300 grams/batch), grinder/refiner to 18-22micron in one pass. We are also working on presses and we have a very cost effective pulverizer for cocoa cake. Any questions welcome at ventasrpd@imsacafe.comalso look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04pr4FkKfmE
