Boxes for my chocs

Posted in: Tasting Notes

Hi i am using the Chocolate artist software and am getting on with it realy well, the problem i have is finding a company in the uk that makes chocolate boxes to fit the size of the chocolates used with the magnetic molds. The inserts all seem to be to small, is there anywhere in the united states that i can order them from.

many thanks

Hi mint not sure what they have used for the watch, dont know what printer you purchased from ebay or what transfer sheets you use, i have had perfect results with chocolate artist form deco, that is the software they use for printing on transfer sheets, i use the cocoa butter sheets from chocolate world i find them better than the ones deco sell.

You will need a canon printer you can purchase all from deco but you might find if you buy the items seperately it may be cheaper.

Thanks Robyn, dont know what i would do without you. Starting off is never easy the uk does not seem to cater for chocolates made from home.

Thanks for your help robyn, i use the same chocolate mold that you use for your 2 pics showing, i wonder if you have managed to find a chocolate box they actualy fit in, the standard inserts for say 6 chocs in a box are to small.

Hi robyn can you tell me how you get such a thin layer of white chocolate in your mold, do you slacken the chocolate down with something and how do you make it to look so white.

Help with blank transfer sheets for printing on chocolate

Posted in: Tech Help, Tips, Tricks, & Techniques

Hi margaret can i ask how long you leave the sheets in the fridge til you demold them, i had problems exactly the same , i found leaving them overnight helped quite a bit, also another problem i have found with the starch sheets depends what batch you get some work better than others, i only use cocoa butter ones now from chocolate world they seem to work, ive costed the price of a new printer against the cost of wasted sheets, and a new printer every 6 months or so at a cost of around 40.00 is a savings.

I agree Debra the deco sheets are not the quality you would excpect, being as i purchased a job lot package ( never again ) reading these posts encouraged me to try chocolate world, what a difference.

To be honestDebra once i master the art of the airbrush etc then i will go down the road of white chocolate and cocoa butter, it seems to work for you, just trial and error i suppose i just find the melts at the mo straight forwards no tempering required. Only been going since January so still a novice. If you do use the melts Glenn dont slake them down with cocoa butter, theres no need, put the melts in mould in lieu of the white choc and let it set takes around 5-7 mins, then pour the flavoured chocolate in, pop in the fridge for around 40 mins, i then pop them for 5 mins in freezer, the reason i do this is the melts do not shrink as much as chocolate in the fridge. then demould as normal
