Hi,

I purchased a couple of oil presses from Alibaba. One I purchased three years ago for $250. The other purchased a couple years ago for $400. Both are still working, but we got the second one to make the first one a backup, and have a faster throughput with the newer one. I don't have any complaints. They process about 4 and 8 pounds hourly, respectively.

The cocoa butter comes out brown, meaning that it does have some solid in it. However it does seem to have enough separation to be useful. On the scale you are looking for, I would recommend these.

We process roughly 100 lbs of cocoa monthly, with maybe 20 lbs/month going into the oil press. Right now we are ramping up for a significant increase in business because of trade show we exhibited at.

Thanks,

Mark C.

Hello Tony,

I had just purchased one on Alibaba, for approx $3,000 Dollars, But I am having problems. My sells Rep is on maternity leave & will not be back until next week. The problem was My Rep sent me a Video using (NIBBS) in a Cloth Bag & Felt Pad to help filter the Solids from the oil. It was a DIRTY CREAMY color oil. NOT WHITE CHOCOLATE COLOR but a little darker.

Everything I had read & even the Sales Rep stated to use COCOA PASTE/CHOCOLATE LIQUOR & not (NIBBS). When I got the Hydraulic Press. It is a QUALITY MACHINE & ESPECIALLY the price. But I am having the problem imagining pressing the LIQUID PASTE through the bag & Felt Pad. I do not want to waste 30 KG of CHOCOLATE LIQUOR. & I picture a BIG MESS.

The company had another Rep send my a DIFFERENT Video #2) That also used (NIBBS) This Video they put the (NIBBS) straight into the chamber of the press without any bag or Felt Pad nothing!! Then out came a watery Chocolate!!! That MUST BE FILTERED!! The only thing that could be used for dark or Milk Chocolate.

Please, if someone knows how to use a Hydraulic Oil Press & especially with Chocolate Liquor & filter the oil to get PURE COCOA BUTTER / WHITE CHOCOLATE. Please help advise me or explain the process. Thanks,

Eric
