Chocolate Week is a time of pure indulgence involving the country’s best chocolatiers and chocolate shops holding events all over the UK.

One of the major highlights of Chocolate Week 09, is the first ever consumer show dedicated exclusively to this delicious subject. This two day event, Chocolate Unwrapped, will be held on 10th & 11th October, at the exclusive May Fair Hotel in the heart of London.

It has been pointed out to me that Artisan du Chocolat has 3 locations in London. The event on the 12th is at the 81 Westbourne Grove location, between Queensway and Chepstow Road. My map of London seems to indicate that the closest tube stop is Bayswater on the Circle line.

Clay, I saw your comment on the Salon du Chocolat event, but couldn't respond there...so I write here. I'll be at the Salon on Wednesday (Profesionnel part) and Thursday (Salon du Chocolat), but unfortunately I have to return to London on Thursday evening. I'm really happy I'll have a chance to meet you and Masur, and others?, at your tasting in London on Monday, 12th! See you there, Ivica

hi Clay, I just booked a place for your tasting on the 12th- I'm looking forward to it so much! I guess, I shouldn't eat too much beforehand- from the way you describe it, it looks quite a feast!By the way, I'll be visiting Salon du Chocolat in Paris as well, on the 14th and 15th. Are any of you going?

If you're in London and reading this, just wanted to let you know that:I will be doing a tasting event on Monday October 12th with Gerard Coleman of Artisan du Chocolat at the Weybourn St shop. Guest limit is 16 and the theme is "Sophisticated Pairings." In addition to chocolates from AdC, I'll be pairing and tasting balsamic vinegars, cheeses (parmesans), cured meats (prosciutto and bresaola), beer, and Prosecco. Cost is 40 GPB/person and bookings are made directly with AdC.I will also be doing a sampling event with the Academy of Chocolate on the evening of the 22nd. The theme is New World Craft Chocolate makers. Because most of the attendees are going to be professionals in the chocolate world, there is no need to organize a tasting, per se. So we'll be sampling a wide range of chocolates from New World producers (not just from the States) and discussing trends, differences in the US and UK markets, and more. I will post details when I have 'em.I hope to see some of you there!
