» Selection of Cacao Pods From a Single Farm
These six pods were harvested from trees in the same backyard cacao garden. The different sizes and shapes reveal the genetic diversity that can occur even in a small area.
Sera:A rainbow - the thought never occurred to me, I was just arranging them from smallest to largest.I've never seen a blue cacao pod before but I'll be on the lookout for one. Colors in that part of the spectrum are what's missing to really make this a rainbow.FYI: The pods at the left are predominantly Forastero and as you move to the right the influence of Trinitaro/Criollo becomes greater.
Beautiful! A chocolate rainbow!
